The Retiro Park or the Buen Retiro Park, popularly known as El Retiro, is an historic garden located in Madrid city center. As the most important park in Madrid, this is a not to be missed landmark during any visit to the city. Surrounded by the present-day hustle and bustle of Madrid, you will be able to enjoy and relax in this peaceful area.

Created to be a hunting ground and private garden for the Spanish Royal Family, the area was opened as a park for all citizens in the late 19th century. Since then, several international exhibitions have been hosted within its premises. Admire emblematic buildings preserved after those events, such as the famous Palacio de Cristal, inspired by The Crystal Palace in London and wonder at the venue great architecture.
