With the busy summer months, and high temperatures, behind us, the Garraf Coast, and especially Sitges, welcome us with all the flavour of its seafaring tradition.
Sitges maintains the nuocentista feel reflected in the houses built in the early 20th century by wealthy emigrants returning from Cuba and Puerto Rico. Back then, the so-called Americanos created the town’s new bourgeoisie, embellishing Sitges with their opulent mansions and paving the way toward the future.
Sitges is also the sea, the Mediterranean, and one of the cities with the most marinas, three in all: Port Ginesta, Puerto Naútico de Garraf and Puerto d’Aiguadolç. Walking on the piers or along the seashore, sailing and kayaking, or perhaps relaxing at one of the numerous ocean view terraces: the choice is yours, Sitges provides the rest.
But that’s not all there is to see in Sitges. There are many hideaways to discover and enjoy, like Huerto de Can Falç, Pati Blau and the Terramar Gardens, where you can enjoy some peace and quiet.
