What to visit
There is no better place to start your tour out of our Hotels in Madrid than Kilometer 0, located in the Puerta del SolSquare, starting point of all radial roads in Spain. The Bear and Strawberry Tree Statue, symbol of Madrid, is located at one side of the Square and Real Casa de Correos, serving presently as home of the Community of Madrid Government, is at he other side.
You can go on your visit towards Teatro Real (Opera Theatre). We will find just behind Royal Palace, the Sabatini Gardens and Almudena Cathedral. Madrid de los Austrias, one of the historical quarters, is displayed if we walk instead along Calle Mayor, where we will be able to find Plaza Mayor, a square where you will dive into the most characteristic environment in the city.
We can find some of Europe’s greatest museums in the so-called Art Avenue, Paseo del Prado. Museum of El Pradodemands some dedication to be enjoyed thoroughly.
If we go back along the Gran Via street, we will be able to enjoy the most touristic and commercial side of Madrid. Musicals, theatres and cinemas light up the city every evening and there is a lot of variety offered among the hotels in Madrid. Madrid’s gastronomy has Castilian influences, and you will be able to find satiating tasteful dishes in most of the hotels in Madrid. We recommend you to try Cocido, Callos and Garlic Soup.
