Casa Patas is a tavern-restaurant and flamenco performance space located in the center of Madrid. It is considered an example of excellence in the World of Flamenco. This unique establishment successfully combines a quality gastronomic offer based on superior raw materials, prepared according to traditional Spanish recipes, with a varied program of live Flamenco shows of the highest quality.

At the venue there are two different spaces: the tavern-restaurant and the tablao. The first, opening onto Cañizares Street, welcomes customers into a spacious bar area that leads into the table dining zone. The second space, behind a door, is the performance space where the daily flamenco shows take place. There are food and drink options here as well. The prestige of Casa Patas is based on the quality of the products and services that it has been offering for over three decades. Today its reputation, both national and international is undisputed.

The quality of our gastronomy is founded on the careful selection of our products. Spanish cuisine, a touchstone of Casa Patas, is part of the Mediterranean Diet which has been declared part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Flamenco has one of its main worship places in Casa Patas.

In order to ensure these conditions, the venue has its own room with theatre-quality conditions that bring out the best in performers. The variety of the programming is another important element. Each week, different artists with original shows contribute to the freshness of the performances and keep musicians, singers and dancers motivated and working at the peak of their capacities.

All these factors converge in the fact that Casa Patas has been, since its foundation, a place where Flamenco artists living in Madrid meet and interact with performers coming from other parts of Spain and beyond. The frequent presence of performers as well as experts along with the general public create truly magical nights of "duende" and "pellizco".

In 2009 Casa Patas was honored by the Community of Madrid with the "Enrique Maya" award, for its contribution to the development and dissemination of Flamenco Art as well as for its ongoing work in the integration of the Roma (Gypsy) People.
